The Topcon SL-7E slit lamp offers exceptionally smooth and precise maneuverability, thanks to its innovative omni-directional joystick. This design enables effortless one-handed control across all axes, allowing for subtle and accurate positioning during examinations.

A built-in photo trigger on the joystick streamlines image capture, minimizing strain for both the patient and operator. The SL-7E is engineered with a 375mm observational axis height and a 290mm working distance to the eye, making it ideal for procedures such as gonioscopy, fundus examinations, and contact lens assessments.

Its redesigned eyepiece layout shortens and straightens the optical path, reducing fatigue during extended use. Users can choose from five magnification levels—6X, 10X, 16X, 25.6X, and 40X—via a Galilean-type microscope with convergent binocular tubes, all without needing to refocus between changes.

The vertical slit image can be continuously adjusted (N.A. 0.01–0.06), with smaller apertures enhancing depth-of-focus for detailed observation. The SL-7E also supports background and diffused illumination for high-quality imaging of peripheral and anterior eye structures. A simple knob on the illumination column lets users switch between four integrated filters: cobalt blue, red-free, 13% neutral density, and heat absorption.
